David Whiteoak Electrical and Solar is an OLEV approved installer for EV charging points. We can apply for a grant of up to £350 for homeowners under the Homecharge Scheme, and up to £14,000 to install EV charging points at your workplace, under the Workplace Charging Scheme.

Your consumer unit or fuse box is the hub of electricity in your home and provides vital safety coverage.

We take pride in our bespoke consumer unit replacement service. If you are worried about the state of your current unit, or have an old, rewireable ‘fuse box’, we can give you free advice and a quote for upgrading your installation to modern standards with all the additional safety features.

The benchmark standard for our installations is to provide an RCBO Consumer unit with an integral Surge Protection Device as per the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations requirements.

Safety Reports EICRs

Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs)

The only way to know your electrics are safe is for a qualified electrician to carry out an electrical installation condition report.

In the UK homeowners should check their house every ten years. It’s a legal requirement every five years in rental properties, and more often in business premises.
We’ll carry out a full inspection and provide a report detailing our findings, this can be provided to your home insurer, or tenants.
